Overview
Work on applying agentic AI to accelerate discovery chemistry, including molecular design workflows and scientific data interpretation.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with discovery, computational, data science, and automation teams to identify and implement agentic AI applications.
- Develop, test, and refine AI-enabled workflows for molecule ideation, intelligence, synthesis planning, and data interpretation.
- Organize and assess chemical, biological, and assay data to support reliable AI-enabled analysis and decisions.
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs for scientific validity, relevance, reproducibility, and practical value.
- Translate scientific questions and laboratory needs into structured workflows, prompts, evaluation approaches, and tools.
- Support adoption of agentic AI tools while maintaining data integrity, documentation, confidentiality, and scientific quality.
- Communicate results, workflow performance, and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
What you'll need
- Master’s degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific field.
- Strong understanding of small-molecule discovery and related chemistry areas.
- Experience working with scientific data including chemical structures, reaction data, assay data, or experimental results.
- Ability to analyze problems systematically and document work with scientific rigor.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional research environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have
- Prior industry experience in pharmaceutical R&D, biotechnology, CROs, or chemical/discovery chemistry.
- Familiarity with AI/ML tools, large language models, and generative/agentic workflows.
- Experience with cheminformatics and chemical databases or molecular representations.
- Familiarity with tools/concepts such as SMILES, SDF, RDKit, reaction informatics, and cheminformatics/AI in chemistry.
- Experience assessing AI-generated recommendations against experimental evidence or scientific criteria.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them to discovery chemistry problems.
