Job description

Overview

The Technical Specialist - Asset Management provides operational support, configuration and enhancement of AirTrunk's enterprise asset management solution using IFS. The role supports implementation and ongoing service delivery for asset registers, maintenance planning and work management across data centre and corporate environments.

What you'll do

  • Provide Level 1 and 2 support for IFS incidents and service requests, escalating complex product or integration issues where necessary.
  • Triage asset, maintenance, work order, inventory and user access issues; investigate causes and coordinate timely resolution with site teams and vendors.
  • Collaborate with the Service Desk, Facilities, Operations and other support teams to meet service levels and maintain continuity of critical asset processes.
  • Configure and maintain approved IFS EAM settings, asset structures, locations, maintenance plans, task lists, work order flows and related business rules.
  • Support IFS environment administration, controlled configuration promotion, patching, upgrades and minor enhancements.
  • Maintain system integrity, role-based access, auditability and compliance with security, segregation-of-duties and governance standards.
  • Deliver approved IFS changes and enhancements with asset process owners, implementation partners and technical teams.
  • Prepare test scenarios and data; conduct unit and regression testing and support business-led UAT for workflows, integrations and reports.
  • Ensure changes, migration loads and releases are documented, approved and deployed in accordance with SDLC and change-management processes.
  • Maintain asset data standards, configuration records, mapping rules, reconciliation evidence, support procedures and change logs.
  • Contribute troubleshooting guides, known issues and repeatable procedures to the asset management knowledge base.
  • Support training and onboarding of users and support staff through clear process guides and accessible documentation.
  • Work closely with the Service Owner and Facilities and Operations stakeholders to improve asset lifecycle, maintenance and inventory processes.
  • Participate in root-cause analysis and problem management; identify recurring data, workflow and integration issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Stay current with IFS updates and asset management practices, and identify appropriate opportunities for process optimisation and automation.

What you'll need

  • Hands-on experience with IFS is required, preferably IFS Cloud or IFS Applications with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) or maintenance functionality.
  • 5–7 years' experience supporting enterprise asset management, CMMS, ERP or other business applications in a technical capacity.
  • Experience configuring or supporting asset registers, asset hierarchies, preventive maintenance, inspections, work orders or inventory processes.
  • Experience supporting facilities, engineering, maintenance, data centre operations or another asset-intensive function.
  • Strong understanding of system configuration, troubleshooting, asset data quality and support processes.
  • Experience with incident, problem, change and release management practices, preferably in an ITIL-aligned environment.
  • Ability to write clear, structured documentation and maintain configuration, data and knowledge records.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams in Agile, hybrid or traditional delivery environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Systems or a related discipline.
  • 5–7 years in technology, enterprise applications or asset management systems roles.

Nice to have

  • IFS EAM training, accreditation or certification, or demonstrable commitment to formal IFS learning.
  • Exposure to IFS maintenance planning, work order management, inventory, procurement or mobile workforce capabilities.
  • Exposure to APIs, integration middleware, reporting, scripting or automation tools.
  • Experience working in multi-country, data centre or fast-paced transformation environments.
  • Global or APAC experience is an advantage.
