Sr. Data Engineer (5 PM to 2 AM IST)

Overview

Sr. Data Engineer for the Finance Data and Analytics team at CrowdStrike, focused on building scalable and reliable data pipelines and finance data sources/frameworks.

What you'll do

• Own, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines connecting cloud data sources.
• Design and manage ingestion and transformation pipelines using Airflow, dbt, Python, Matillion, and Snowflake.
• Develop and maintain automation for Finance metrics including ACV/ARR and support month-end/quarter-end close.
• Optimize pipelines and the data warehouse for accuracy, performance, and accessibility.
• Balance new development with scaling and optimization of existing systems.
• Monitor daily jobs and troubleshoot failures to keep pipelines stable.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to explain technical concepts to non-technical teams.

What you'll need

• 5+ years developing complex automation frameworks, queries, and ETL processes.
• Deep scripting experience in Python.
• Cloud database experience using Snowflake.
• Experience with ETL/ELT, data pipelines (dbt, Airflow), and modern data engineering best practices.
• Ability to ingest from multiple sources and produce clean, well-modeled datasets.
• Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
• Hands-on experience with Agile and tools like JIRA.
