Sr Data Engineer

Overview

Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize healthcare data pipelines for analytics, reporting, and client deliverables.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for healthcare data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
• Develop and maintain SQL Server stored procedures for core transformation logic across client and standardized pipelines.
• Implement complex transformations in T-SQL, including mapping, validation, aggregation, and data standardization.
• Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL performance for large-scale data processing.
• Build data solutions on Azure services including Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, SQL, and Databricks.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, validation, and reconciliation/audit processes for healthcare datasets.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of data engineering experience, preferably in healthcare or regulated environments.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and T-SQL, including building complex stored procedures and transformations.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
• Strong Python (or similar) programming skills.
• Hands-on experience with Azure data services such as Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL, and Blob Storage/Data Lake.
• Solid understanding of healthcare data structures including claims and EHR/EMR-related datasets.
