Overview
Senior Design Engineer supporting pre-sales engineering for Fire Detection System global projects, aligned to country-specific standards.
What you'll do
- Support pre-sales engineering for Fire Detection System projects per country standards.
- Review project inputs/specifications to capture scope and requirements.
- Review MEP drawings, specifications, and SOP; identify relevant Fire Detection System equipment.
- Participate in project kick-off/review meetings; maintain compliance/deviation logs and risk logs and minutes.
- Follow estimation processes to build optimum budgets and define hardware/software/equipment/materials/services combinations.
- Create bill of materials and cost sheets including preliminaries, technical write-ups, block diagrams, and deviation charts.
- Ensure quality assurance, defect-free deliverables, on-time delivery, and customer reporting.
What you'll need
- BE in Instrumentation/Electrical/Electronics/Electronics & Communication.
- Strong knowledge of Fire Detection System components (e.g., Fire Alarm, VESDA, Linear Heat Detection, Fireman Intercom, Gas Suppression System detection, Gas Detection).
- Knowledge of Simplex & Zettler fire alarm products and Xtralis, Securiton, Wagner for aspirating smoke detection.
- AutoCAD and MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.).
- Knowledge of network protocols like BACNet and Modbus.
- Experience coordinating with subcontractors/vendors with procurement.
- Preferred 5+ years of relevant experience in Fire Detection System design and estimation.
