Sr. Designer

Overview

Develop detailed engineering designs, drawings and documentation for instrumentation and control systems in projects, supporting engineering teams with accurate design, standards compliance and integration with process and control requirements.

What you'll do

• Carry out cable routing and tray layouts.
• Prepare instrument location layouts.
• Model cable tray supports.
• Support 3D modelling activities using tools such as SP3D, PDMS or E3D.
• Ensure proper documentation and revision control of all design outputs.
• Assist in material take-offs (MTO) and preparation of bills of materials.
• Read P&ID and prepare the instrument index.
• Prepare SPI INTOOLS index, specifications, hook-up and wiring module outputs.
• Prepare loop diagrams, termination drawings, panel GA drawings, layout drawings, location plans, cable routing, installation drawings, junction box schedules, hook-up diagrams and cable schedules.
• Prepare material take-offs for instrument installation, cable, cable tray and accessories.
• Produce drawings using AutoCAD and MicroStation.

What you'll need

• Education must match PROFILE CODE.
• 10-18 years of required experience.
• Proven experience in reading P&ID and preparing instrument index.
• Understanding of instrumentation design concepts.
• Professional level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and Word.

Nice to have

• Experience in EPC projects or detailed engineering.
• Experience in SP3D, PDMS or E3D.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
