Sr. Developer - Application Development Microsoft N 4B

Overview

Senior .NET application developer on the Microsoft team, working on application development and delivery in a hybrid, geographically distributed setting.

What you'll do

• Take ownership of small to medium applications or application components and ensure their delivery through your team.
• Understand business needs and priorities, and provide thought leadership on potential technology solutions and their positive business impact.
• Express ideas in meetings and design discussions, and course-correct when circumstances change.
• Build strong long-term partnerships with stakeholders across business and IT functions.
• Deliver on time, working under supervision where required.
• Leverage AI coding assistants (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development, including building custom agents, skills and MCP integrations.

What you'll need

• In-depth understanding of the full software development life cycle.
• Deep familiarity with modern software development and design concepts across a range of languages and platforms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong communication and proactive issue anticipation.
• Professional experience using .NET technologies with an emphasis on C# and RESTful APIs.
• Professional experience in Angular and/or any other UI technologies.
• Experience creating and consuming web services and data.
• At least 1+ years of experience working with geographically dispersed teams across different time zones.
• Strong communication, analysis, design and development skills.
• Solid understanding and experience with object-oriented design and development.
• Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Master's in Software Engineering.
• Language: English, proficient (C2).

Nice to have

• Prior work experience with cloud-based applications, .NET Core, Docker or container-based applications.
• Prior work in the banking/brokerage industry.
• Prior work experience with multi-threaded or performance-intensive applications.
• Working experience with Agile methodologies.
• Certifications: Databricks Certified Associate Developer for Apache Spark 3.0; Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.
