Sr. Engineer, Construction Quality- Electrical & ELV

Overview

Sr. Quality Engineer for Electrical & ELV, responsible for QA/QC across electrical and instrumentation works for industrial and infrastructure projects in Gujarat, India.

What you'll do

• Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures for electrical and I&C systems.
• Inspect and test transformers, GIS switchgears, HT/LT panels, and busducts for design/spec compliance.
• Supervise cable laying, termination, glanding, and insulation testing.
• Perform ELV quality checks for systems including CCTV, access control, PA, fire alarm, and instrumentation sensors.
• Review and validate test reports, ITPs, FAT/SAT documentation, and quality dossiers.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, consultants, and third-party agencies for quality audits and inspections.
• Identify non-conformities, conduct root-cause analysis, and recommend corrective/preventive actions.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation & Control Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 8–10 years of experience in QA/QC for electrical and I&C packages in industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of transformers, switchgears (AIS/GIS), busducts, LV/HT panels, and cable management systems.
• Experience in ELV systems, instrumentation sensors, and control systems.
• Proficiency reading electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and control schematics.
• Familiarity with IEC, IS, and IEEE electrical/instrumentation standards.
