Sr. Forward Deployed AI Engineer (Remote Eligible in the UK)

Overview

Lead complex, customer-facing AI deployments from technical discovery through production handoff. The role focuses on multi-agent architecture, reusable deployment assets, enablement, and mentoring.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end, multi-system AI deployments.
• Run customer-specific AI workshops and technical sessions.
• Architect multi-agent solutions for workflow and compliance needs.
• Design customer- and industry-specific MCP resource packs.
• Own Deployment Kit quality and documentation.
• Transfer deployment patterns through enablement sprints, training, and certification criteria.
• Mentor junior forward-deployed engineers and present field findings.

What you'll need

• 6–10+ years of production software engineering experience.
• 3+ years deploying AI/ML systems to production.
• Deep Python and strong TypeScript/JavaScript skills.
• Experience leading complex enterprise technical engagements and customer relationships.
• Production LLM experience with multi-agent orchestration, MCP/tool use, RAG, evaluation, and deployment at scale.
• System architecture expertise across enterprise systems, cloud infrastructure, and AI services.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent industry experience.

Nice to have

• Experience founding or scaling an FDE or solutions engineering function.
• Technical founder background.
• Databricks, AWS Bedrock, or Temporal experience.
• Domain knowledge in healthcare, financial services, or government.
• Agent framework contributions or German/French proficiency.
• Familiarity with AI governance, ethics, and regulatory requirements.

Details

• Remote eligible in the UK.
• Domestic and international travel is approximately 25–50%.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK on an ongoing basis.
