Sr Platform Engineer

Overview

Sr. Data Platform Engineer in the Data & Analytics (D&A) Platform and Architecture team, designing, building, and supporting an enterprise data platform.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain data infrastructure pipelines, frameworks, and platform tooling.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms using Databricks and related services.
• Collaborate with senior/principal engineers on integration patterns across ingestion, transformation, and consumption.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Terraform.
• Identify and resolve performance issues in pipelines and queries.
• Participate in scrum ceremonies and deliver reliably in an agile team.
• Support and mentor junior engineers and communicate with cross-functional stakeholders.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform roles.
• At least 3 years working in a cloud environment (Azure preferred).
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and PySpark.
• Strong SQL skills with comfort in query optimization.
• Experience with Databricks and Delta Lake.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory or comparable orchestration tooling.
• Exposure to Unity Catalog and enterprise data governance concepts.

• Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
• On-call rotation for production support is required.
