Overview

Sr Product Software Engineer I for Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology, supporting and improving software and systems for product and platform needs.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with product and project management to translate requirements into technical specifications and timelines.
• Lead code quality using test-driven development and enforce standards.
• Maintain and update software throughout its lifecycle with documentation.
• Apply judgment to identify and resolve complex tasks involving architectural changes.
• Support and mentor developers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Review code and pull requests to ensure product and design specifications are met.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience building scalable, performant modern JavaScript/TypeScript web applications.
• BS degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to write well-documented, clear, and robust code.
• Proven track record integrating API specifications while collaborating with service teams.
• Diligence to design workflows and complete tasks end-to-end.
• Emotional intelligence to supervise oneself under high pressure and meet urgent timelines.

Nice to have

• Shipped production React/Node.js application with high availability and throughput deployed to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
• Solid understanding of web accessibility fundamentals.
• Strong knowledge of web standards and new technologies.
