Sr Programmer Analyst II

Overview

Senior Programmer Analyst II working on bioinformatics programming for research or clinical trials, including independent lead responsibilities on selected studies and mentoring junior team members.

What you'll do

• Lead moderate-complexity studies by coordinating with project leaders and client representatives on goals and timelines.
• Create, execute, maintain, and validate programs that transfer, combine, and summarize data across systems.
• Generate and validate SAS-based listings, tables, and figures, and produce or combine database reports.
• Manage and document assignments to meet timelines and quality expectations.
• Train and guide junior team members.
• Provide general departmental infrastructure support, including representing the company at industry conferences and helping develop training materials, working practices, and SOPs.
• Support the bidding process as requested.

What you'll need

• MS/MA in computer science, statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, or related field plus at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with relevant academic/vocational qualification.
• At least 5 years of experience providing knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform job requirements.
• Solid understanding of one or more programming languages.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interface with teams and clients, including English proficiency.
• Strong relational database and complex data system understanding.
• Ability to train and mentor others.
• Proficiency in quality control review for statistical programming.

• Work schedule: Second Shift (Afternoons).
• Location: Bangalore, India.
• Working environment: Office job with exposure to electrical office equipment.
• Travel: Occasional domestic and international travel and occasional drives to site locations.
