Sr Snowflake Engineer

Overview

Own the Snowflake platform supporting analytics for network, customer, billing, and channel data. Set data modeling, governance, cost, performance, and reliability standards while partnering with engineering and architecture teams.

What you'll do

• Own Snowflake database, schema, warehouse, and RBAC architecture across development, test, and production.
• Lead ingestion from Azure Data Lake, Kafka, Oracle Fusion, Workday, Salesforce, and OSS/BSS sources.
• Define data models for Customer 360, network performance, and revenue reporting.
• Optimize warehouse sizing, clustering, query performance, credit spend, and chargeback visibility.
• Establish governance, masking, row access, tagging, and PCI-scoped controls.
• Define pipeline SLOs and observability, and lead incident response and root-cause analysis.
• Mentor engineers and lead design and code reviews.

What you'll need

• 7+ years in data engineering.
• 4+ years of production-scale Snowflake experience.
• Expert SQL, strong Python, and deep dbt experience with testing and CI.
• Production cloud data platform experience on Azure or AWS, including cost management at scale.
• Experience integrating Snowflake with Databricks or Spark in a hybrid lakehouse.
• Experience leading data governance, PII handling, and audit or compliance readiness.
• Technical leadership experience influencing teams, writing design documents, and setting standards.

Nice to have

• SnowPro Advanced Architect certification.
