Overview

Join the storage platform team as a Senior Software Engineer, working on systems that reliably store customer data for B2 Object Storage and Computer Backup products.

What you'll do

• Improve storage durability.
• Increase system throughput.
• Drive architectural changes for long-term service requirements.
• Design software systems.
• Implement and test software.
• Roll out software changes.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of object-oriented programming experience in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with an object-oriented language such as Java, Rust, C++, or C#.
• Experience building large-scale software systems running on thousands of servers.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle.
• Curiosity and a tendency to understand problems before proposing solutions.
• Analytical thinking for ambiguous problems.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Java or Rust.
• Experience building and interpreting models, dashboards, or reports.
• Familiarity with hard-drive performance.
• Understanding of Linux internals and file systems.
