Overview

Sr Staff Engineer - Hardware Design is a hardware engineering role focused on planning, designing, optimizing, verifying, and testing electronic systems and related hardware components.

What you'll do

• Plan, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems including circuits and mechanical systems.
• Integrate hardware features and functionality according to proposals or roadmaps.
• Run complex simulations and analyses, and implement designs optimized for power, performance, and area.
• Collaborate across design, verification/validation, software, and systems teams to implement new requirements and test solutions.
• Evaluate and develop manufacturing solutions and support bring-up to meet customer expectations and schedules.
• Assess reliability of critical materials and techniques and drive innovation, automation, and optimization.
• Write detailed technical documentation for hardware projects.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related) with 3+ years of hardware engineering or related work experience.
• Or Master’s degree in a related field with 2+ years of hardware engineering or related work experience.
• Or PhD in a related field with 1+ year of hardware engineering or related work experience.
• Works independently with minimal supervision.
• Provides supervision/guidance to other team members.
• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information.
