Sr Staff Software Engineer (Wildfire) – NetSec

Overview

Senior Staff Software Engineer for the Wildfire Infrastructure team, building and maintaining cloud-based security infrastructure at massive scale.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end SDLC from requirements and design through deployment and operational support.
• Write scalable, clean, testable Python or Go code for large numbers of active deployments.
• Contribute to architecture planning, design reviews, and technical discussions for appliance and cloud integrations.
• Develop high-performance REST APIs and microservices for containerized infrastructure.
• Design robust, secure cloud workflows aligned with cloud computing and cloud security concepts.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver key product milestones.

What you'll need

• 4 to 9 years of hands-on backend or systems software development experience.
• Exposure to major cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI).
• Strong proficiency in Python (strongly preferred) or Go.
• Hands-on Linux experience including shell scripting, process management, and core OS fundamentals.
• Practical experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ and Redis or other key-value/caching stores.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and deploying microservices on Kubernetes.
• Proven ability to debug and troubleshoot complex distributed systems issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical collaboration.
