Overview
The International Sourcing Analyst II serves as the dedicated sourcing partner for international legal entities. This individual-contributor role independently manages sourcing and procurement projects from requirements definition through negotiation, contracting, implementation, and supplier follow-up, delivering measurable business value across countries, functions, and time zones.
What you'll do
- Lead assigned sourcing and procurement projects from intake through completion, including planning, stakeholder alignment, sourcing execution, negotiation, contracting, implementation, and closeout.
- Serve as the primary Sourcing & Procurement point of contact and maintain accountability for scope, milestones, deliverables, risks, decisions, and outcomes.
- Develop project plans, sourcing strategies, timelines, stakeholder maps, evaluation criteria, communication plans, and decision materials.
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining organization, follow-up, documentation, and stakeholder and supplier communication.
- Escalate risks, delays, scope changes, and unresolved decisions with recommendations and proposed actions.
- Build relationships across countries and time zones and adapt communication, project management, and sourcing approaches to local business needs.
- Help stakeholders navigate procurement requirements, approval processes, supplier onboarding, contracting, and applicable policies.
- Clarify requirements, challenge specifications when appropriate, identify opportunities to consolidate demand, and promote enterprise value while respecting local requirements.
- Provide project updates, recommendations, and status reporting to the Director of Sourcing – Global and relevant business leadership.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies using RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, competitive bidding, benchmarking, and direct negotiations.
- Conduct market, supplier, and commercial research to assess supplier capabilities, competitive dynamics, pricing drivers, market conditions, and sourcing opportunities.
- Develop sourcing documentation, supplier communications, evaluation criteria, bid analyses, negotiation plans, and recommendation materials.
- Analyze supplier proposals, pricing structures, payment terms, service levels, contract terms, and other commercial considerations.
- Lead or actively participate in supplier negotiations using data, benchmarking, scenario analysis, and commercial judgment.
- Coordinate supplier presentations, clarification meetings, reference checks, due diligence, and other award-decision activities.
- Partner with Legal, TPRM, Finance, business stakeholders, and suppliers to move recommendations through contracting and approval to execution.
- Review Statements of Work, order forms, proposals, pricing schedules, and other commercial documents for alignment with negotiated terms and approved outcomes.
- Coordinate purchase order requirements, supplier onboarding, transition planning, communications, and handoff to the appropriate business owner.
- Support supplier performance management by establishing expectations, tracking issues, coordinating business reviews, and escalating concerns.
- Maintain sourcing, contract, supplier, project, and savings information in procurement systems and tracking tools.
- Support renewals and extensions by assessing business needs, historical spend, performance, market alternatives, and commercial opportunities.
- Identify and pursue cost savings, cost avoidance, demand management, process improvements, risk reduction, and other sources of value.
- Document sourcing assumptions, baselines, negotiated outcomes, implementation timing, and supporting evidence.
- Ensure projects follow procurement policies, approval requirements, sourcing practices, contracting standards, and applicable controls.
- Identify and communicate compliance, supplier, commercial, legal, tax, currency, payment, and operational risks.
- Maintain complete and audit-ready project documentation.
- Identify process, template, tool, stakeholder-experience, and consistency improvements across legal entities.
- Share lessons learned, market intelligence, supplier insights, and effective practices with the Sourcing & Procurement organization.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, International Business, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, purchasing, supply chain, commercial analysis, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience independently leading sourcing or procurement projects from requirements definition through negotiation, contracting, and implementation.
- Experience managing sourcing events such as RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, competitive bids, or structured negotiations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret spend, pricing, supplier, and commercial data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Strong negotiation, project management, organization, prioritization, and follow-through skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and suppliers across functions, countries, and organizational levels.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining accurate documentation and timely delivery.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, take ownership of outcomes, and escalate issues appropriately.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and other business productivity and procurement tools.
Nice to have
- Experience working directly with international legal entities, regional business units, or stakeholders across multiple countries and time zones.
- Experience leading sourcing projects across corporate services, professional services, facilities, travel, marketing, human resources, finance, or other non-technology categories.
- Experience with international contracting, cross-border sourcing, multiple currencies, local market requirements, tax considerations, payment terms, or supplier due diligence.
- Experience with contract lifecycle management, sourcing, spend analytics, supplier management, or procurement workflow platforms.
- Experience partnering with Finance to calculate and validate P&L savings, contractual savings, cost avoidance, or other value measures.
- Experience supporting supplier performance management, business reviews, or post-award governance.
