Sr. Support Engineer, SAP

Overview

Provide exceptional remote-based support for mission-critical SAP applications as part of a global customer support team. Research, troubleshoot, and support multiple SAP modules for global clients using varied SAP environments, including diagnosing issues and developing, testing, packaging, and delivering fixes.

What you'll do

• Understand client needs and requirements by coordinating with client representatives and seeking clarity on details.
• Consult with professionals from other departments and teams working on SAP FI/CO, MM, SD, APO, and other modules.
• Write ABAP code based on client blueprints and perform regular usability tests.
• Complete programs on schedule according to client guidelines and allocate appropriate resources.
• Provide technical support to end users through troubleshooting guidelines and system modifications after delivery.
• Train end users and client representatives.
• Stay updated on technological advancements and changes in SAP development through self-training and research.
• Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years’ experience in ABAP and Fiori programming and SAP modules.
• 10+ years’ knowledge of SAP systems such as FI/CO, MM, SD, APO, and Fiori.
• Prior experience in object-oriented programming, ABAP lists, and related fields.
• A track record of successful bug-free code written for clients.
• Deep working knowledge and understanding of supporting business processes.
• Analytical and logical problem-resolution skills.
• Knowledge of maintenance and patching mechanics and SAP architecture.
• Demonstrable history solving complex problems across multiple modules.
• Experience in Workflow, IDocs, and Portal debugging.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Technical troubleshooting skills, including the ability to debug code and solve complex problems.
• Focus on customer support and the ability to build long-term working relationships with clients.
• Strong knowledge of key application functionality, tables, and relationships.
• Deep knowledge of SAP customization and extension methodologies.
• Excellent development skills using the SAP toolset.
• Experience with Web Dynpro, ABAP OO, Reports, ALV, Data Transfer, Module Pool, SAPscript, Smartforms, BAPI, Performance, IDOC, and SAP Workflow development, RFCs, and proxies for communication with the PI system.
• Familiarity with SD, MM, and FI processes, including sales order creation, delivery, material movements, account document posting, and NF-e inbound and outbound processes.
• SAP Fiori and UI5 technical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly.
• Extreme focus on client satisfaction.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work calmly and professionally in high-pressure situations.
• Fluency in English.

Nice to have

• SAP certification(s).
• Extensive knowledge of multiple SAP modules across ECC and S/4HANA releases, including SAP product module or suite business processes, navigation mechanics, configuration requirements, integration with other modules, and underlying technology.
• Knowledge of any Country Specific Solutions.
• A consulting background.
• Experience with localizations and global implementations.
