Sr Systems Support Engineer

Overview

Sr Systems Support Engineer for System Administrator functions, focused on day-to-day technical issue support and installation/implementation work for application systems and databases supporting development and QA environments.

What you'll do

• Assist with day-to-day operations on technical issues and problems.
• Install, implement, configure, upgrade, and optimize application systems and databases.
• Act as the client point of contact for application/database performance issues.
• Monitor application performance using AppDynamics and evaluate performance.
• Identify, qualify, and drive reported issues/bugs toward remediation and resolution.
• Handle Level 2 analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution in a 24*7 environment with rotational shifts.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience supporting and monitoring DynaTrace/AppDynamics/NewRelic (or other APM tools).
• Experience with Windows server infrastructure and .Net-based application support.
• Knowledge of IIS, worker process thread, Web.config, certificate binding, and Event Logs.
• Experience with server performance metrics (e.g., CPU, Memory, Queue length, MSMQ, I/O, Page writes, Perfmon).
• Intermediate to professional SQL experience (e.g., SQL Jobs, queries, blocking, Always On).
• Experience with ITSM tools such as Service Desk/ServiceNow.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
