Staff Backend Engineer

Overview

Staff Backend Engineer working on distributed systems, data processing pipelines, and next-generation platform/product development.

What you'll do

• Drive high-quality architecture and design for data pipelines and systems.
• Create roadmaps and vision for a scalable, robust online serving platform.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to keep the platform open and extensible.
• Align with stakeholders and lead engineers on mission-critical projects.
• Decompose complex problems into simple, straightforward solutions.
• Deep-dive and handle critical system issues.

What you'll need

• Have a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in computer science or an equivalent field.
• Have at least 8 years of experience in software design and development using Java and Python.
• Have hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying scalable, highly available systems.
• Have large system architecture design and development experience.
• Have experience with cloud computing using AWS.
• Have experience developing container-based testing environments.
• Have experience with Java, IntelliJ, and the Spring environment.

• Location: Bengaluru.
• Work model: Hybrid (at least 3 office days per week; flexible work from home 2 days per week).
