Staff Backend Engineer

Overview

Staff Backend Engineer to help architect and build backend systems for a global crypto payments network.

What you'll do

• Own and drive roadmaps and implementation across multiple focus areas.
• Make technical architecture and system design decisions.
• Provide technical leadership across teams.
• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Conduct testing, debugging, and resolve software defects.
• Optimize backend performance and scalability for large data volumes.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• At least 3 years in fintech or payments infrastructure.
• Strong backend skills in one or more of C#, C++, Go, Java, or Python.
• Proficiency with Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD tooling.
• Knowledge of security concepts including AuthN, AuthZ, SAML, API security, and encryption.
• Understanding of crypto concepts such as blockchains, RPCs, and self-custody wallets.

• Location: Bangalore, India.
• Work from the office at least 40% of the time (about two days per week) for employees in Bangalore.
