Staff - Data Engineer

Overview

Staff Data Engineer supporting data ingestion pipelines, warehouses, lakes, big data platforms, and marketing analytics tools. The role designs data infrastructure, improves data quality, and supports analytical models across internal and external data sources.

What you'll do

• Design and implement data infrastructure and pipelines for internal and external data sources.
• Build, monitor, and automate data ingestion and orchestration processes.
• Process structured and unstructured data into Hive, NoSQL, and warehouse solutions.
• Develop streaming data proof of concepts using Spark and HDFS.
• Collaborate with analysts and scientists on forecasting and predictive models.
• Develop and maintain analytics tools, frameworks, and dashboards.
• Mentor associates and translate technical subjects for diverse stakeholders.

What you'll need

• 8–10 years of experience in IT, SQL, Hadoop ecosystems, data warehousing, and data modeling.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Agile project management and Jira.
• Expertise in ER Studio.
• Expertise in metadata management and related tools.
• Knowledge of Python, SQL, Hadoop, Spark, data engineering, and data modeling.

Nice to have

• 10–13 years of work experience preferred.
• Agile product owner or Scrum Master experience.
• Experience developing systems for AWS cloud deployments.
• Exposure to Azure data environments.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or a STEM field.
