Staff Data Engineer

Overview

Staff Data Engineer responsible for designing and delivering high-scale data pipelines for advertising data. The role modernizes legacy workflows into cloud-native lakehouse systems and ensures reliable, secure, cost-efficient data delivery.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain real-time and batch ingestion, ETL, and activation pipelines.
• Optimize data workflows for latency, reliability, and scalability.
• Modernize legacy ad-tech systems into lakehouse architectures.
• Implement observability, data lineage, and automation frameworks.
• Operationalize machine learning models with Data Science teams.
• Deliver low-latency, privacy-compliant data to ad servers and activation platforms.
• Mentor engineers and improve engineering standards across teams.

What you'll need

• 8+ years designing and operating enterprise-scale data platforms.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with Iceberg, Delta, Hudi, Spark, Flink, or Presto.
• Deep knowledge of Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub.
• Skills in CI/CD, automation, observability, and governance.
• Advertising technology and cross-functional mentoring experience.
