Staff - Data Engineer

Overview

The Staff Data Engineer designs and supports data engineering projects spanning ingestion pipelines, data warehouses, data lakes, and enterprise big data platforms. It also focuses on enabling analytical tools and dashboards for marketing analytics communities.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain data pipelines for multiple external data sources and recommend ingestion processes.
• Collaborate on data model management and version control with data architects/engineers.
• Ingest, process, and store data in Hive or NoSQL/database and support HDFS maintenance.
• Develop automation to configure, monitor, and orchestrate data infrastructure and pipelines.
• Implement and support machine learning algorithms and models with data analysts/scientists.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, mentor associates, and translate technical topics for diverse audiences.

What you'll need

• 8-10 years of work experience in IT, SQL, Hadoop ecosystems, data warehouse, and data modeling.
• Agile project management experience with Jira toolset.
• Knowledge and experience in developing software using agile methodologies.
• Expertise in ER Studio and business process management tools.
• Expert knowledge on metadata management and related tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or STEM field or equivalent experience.
