Overview
Staff Engineer responsible for architectural design, development, and leadership for desktop and hybrid applications.
What you'll do
- Lead a team of engineers to create desktop and hybrid applications.
- Conduct deep technical design discussions and support implementations.
- Lead design, development, and validation of secure, scalable software architectures and components.
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and requirement analysis.
- Collaborate with North America R&D and global stakeholders across time zones to communicate status and resolve issues.
- Investigate complex software and system problems and translate requirements into well-tested solutions.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 14+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise-grade software products.
- Hands-on expertise in architecture and backend development using C#/.NET.
- Experience building desktop and web applications using .NET Framework 4.5, WPF, WCF, ASP.NET, MVC, Blazor, Razor components, and Visual Studio.
- UML modeling and design tools such as Enterprise Architect and MS Visio.
- Database technology knowledge including MongoDB and PostgreSQL and performance tuning/debugging tools like dotTrace and NProfiler.
- CI/CD practices using Jenkins and TeamCity.
Nice to have
- Experience designing and developing scientific or analytical instrumentation software in regulated domains such as life sciences or diagnostics.
- Experience delivering AI-powered platform capabilities, including LLM-based systems and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) or agentic workflows.
