Staff Engineer (L1, L2, L3 Testing, NOS/SDK testing, Python Automation)

Overview

Staff Engineer in the Switch Software Quality Assurance team, focused on validating the Marvell switch platform across multiple SDK and NOS solutions.

What you'll do

• Develop test strategies and corresponding test cases for product features.
• Define and follow test processes and ensure release qualification readiness.
• Execute test cases, review results/bug reports for accuracy, and document outcomes in qTest.
• Build Python-based test automation and use it to improve code coverage.
• Report bugs in Jira with test logs and traces.
• Develop test scripts for firmware testing on a simulation platform.
• Participate in peer code reviews and test plan reviews.

What you'll need

• 3-10 years of related professional experience.
• Strong understanding of switch networking layers (L1-L4) and Ethernet switching architectures.
• Proficiency in Python for test automation (e.g., Pytest, Robot Framework).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub CI) and test automation integration.
• Familiarity with traffic generation tools (e.g., IXIA, Spirent, TRex, Scapy).
• Knowledge of Linux environments, shell scripting, and low-level debugging.
• Experience with source control (Git) and issue tracking (e.g., Jira).
