Staff Engineer for Money, Risk & Payment Ancillaries, leading architecture and technical direction for systems that protect money and manage risk across transactions.

What you'll do

• Architect foundational systems for risk, fraud, scams, money operations, reconciliations, and chargebacks.
• Lead cross-domain technical direction using versioned APIs and event-driven design.
• Build real-time, low-latency risk and fraud scoring and related authorization-time actions.
• Design money movement and reconciliation systems with idempotency and auditable ledgers.
• Develop platforms for scam prevention and the chargeback/dispute lifecycle.
• Champion “You Build It, You Run It” and production ownership for teams.

What you'll need

• +8 years of experience as stated in the posting.
• Deep expertise in Go and/or Kotlin and full-stack strength.
• Experience architecting distributed systems (event-driven, high-throughput, low-latency) with design patterns and best practices.
• Experience building financial or risk-critical systems focused on correctness, consistency, and auditability.
• Strong experience with AWS and cloud-native services (RDS, ECS, EKS, S3, etc.).
• Excellent automated testing practices across unit, integration, and end-to-end in Agile/DevSecOps/CI/CD workflows.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
