Staff Product Designer

Overview

Staff Product Designer for EarnIn’s Financial Intelligence Platform team, designing and improving foundational customer experiences.

What you'll do

• Design and refine core experiences across the full customer journey (bank connection, account setup, earnings tracking, repayment).
• Partner with PMs, engineering, and data teams to define design requirements and validate solutions via research and usability testing.
• Establish and maintain design patterns and systems for consistency and simplicity.
• Identify friction points in critical flows and design solutions to improve usability, clarity, confidence, and compliance.
• Use research findings and customer feedback to inform design strategy and prioritize improvements with measurable impact.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, and Finance to ensure designs meet regulatory requirements.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of experience designing consumer-facing digital products.
• Experience designing core experiences or core functionality.
• A portfolio demonstrating thoughtful problem-solving and measurable improvements to user satisfaction and retention.
• Deep understanding of financial products and user trust, including designing for clarity in complex workflows.
• Must be skilled in Figma, prototyping tools, and modern design workflows.
• Ability to collaborate with data teams to measure impact.

Nice to have

• Background in systems design, design patterns, or design operations.
• Experience improving user satisfaction and retention metrics through design-driven solutions.
