Staff Site Reliability Engineer

Overview

Staff Site Reliability Engineer to architect reliability platforms, lead incident response, and drive SRE best practices across AlphaSense.

What you'll do

• Build reliability frameworks and self-service tooling in a “You Build It, You Run It” culture.
• Drive AIOps strategy to automate diagnostics, remediation, and proactive failure prevention.
• Embed SRE practices through design reviews, production readiness, and operational standards.
• Lead high-severity incidents as Incident Commander and ensure blameless postmortems.
• Deliver end-to-end monitoring, tracing, and profiling to proactively optimize performance.
• Mentor engineers across SRE and product teams with technical guidance and knowledge sharing.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a similar role.
• At least 3+ of those years in a Senior+ SRE position.
• Strong background running production SaaS systems at scale.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar programming/scripting language.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and Kubernetes.
• Deep networking fundamentals knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, load balancing).
• Experience with monitoring & alerting tools including Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and ELK.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with advanced observability including OTEL and continuous profiling.
