Staff Site Reliability Engineer

Overview

Staff Site Reliability Engineer to architect reliability platforms and drive SRE best practices across AlphaSense’s global engineering organization.

What you'll do

• Build reliability frameworks and self-service tooling for service ownership.
• Drive AIOps strategy for automating diagnostics, remediation, and proactive failure prevention.
• Embed SRE practices across engineering through design reviews and operational standards.
• Lead incident response as Incident Commander and ensure blameless postmortems.
• Deliver end-to-end monitoring, tracing, and profiling to optimize performance.
• Mentor engineers via technical guidance and knowledge sharing.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or similar.
• At least 3+ years operating in a Senior+ SRE position.
• Strong background running production SaaS systems at scale.
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Python, Go, or similar).
• Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring & alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK).
• Proven incident management experience, including leading high-severity incidents and postmortems.
