Staff Software Engineer, Payments Compliance

Overview

Lead the technical direction, architecture, and implementation of Payments Compliance systems that support regulatory controls, compliance experiences, screening, and auditing at global scale.

What you'll do

• Lead development and refinement of compliance systems.
• Set technical direction and strategy for compliance platforms.
• Design service-oriented, configurable, and auditable systems.
• Define and ship features with Product, Design, Policy, and Operations teams.
• Lead and mentor engineers across teams.
• Drive improvements to development, technical quality, and operational excellence.

What you'll need

• 9+ years of industry experience in a fast-paced technology environment.
• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience leading project teams and setting technical direction.
• Experience leading a team responsible for production on-call systems.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards and implementation of related controls.
• Proficiency in a back-end server language such as Java, Ruby, Go, or C++.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.
• Exposure to high-scale web and data application architecture.
• End-to-end ownership across team boundaries.

Details

• Remote eligible within the United States.
• Occasional office or offsite attendance may be required.
• Annual pay range: $212,000–$265,000 USD.
