Overview
The Supply Chain Development Analyst supports Regional SCD teams in identifying customer growth opportunities and developing Maersk logistics solutions. The role combines supply chain analysis, analytical modelling, customer solution development, commercial insight and stakeholder collaboration.
What you'll do
- Support Regional SCD teams in identifying customer growth opportunities and developing compelling Maersk logistics solutions with cross-functional sales pursuit teams.
- Leverage customer data to develop analytical models, supply chain digital twins and scenario-based simulations for solution evaluation and optimization.
- Conduct supply chain analyses including network optimization, asset utilization, transportation modelling, inventory modelling and optimization, and warehouse assessments.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover trends, risks, inefficiencies and actionable business insights.
- Leverage AI capabilities to accelerate data analysis, industry research, scenario modelling and customer-specific supply chain recommendations.
- Identify new value propositions and analytical opportunities by leveraging AI and emerging technologies.
- Use analytical tools such as Power BI, Excel, SQL, Python, AIMMS and similar platforms to solve complex supply chain challenges.
- Translate analytical findings into executive presentations, dashboards, visualizations and customer-centric supply chain narratives.
- Develop insight-led value propositions addressing customer pain points and delivering quantifiable business outcomes.
- Engage directly with customers through discovery workshops, solution discussions and business case presentations.
- Apply an end-to-end understanding of supply chain operations to design integrated customer solutions and recommendations.
- Quantify customer value and understand the revenue implications of commercial proposals.
- Partner with Regional SCD, Product, Operations and Sales teams to co-create customer solutions.
- Build and maintain trusted internal and external stakeholder relationships through proactive communication and expectation management.
- Act as a bridge between regional commercial and analytical teams to translate customer requirements into solution designs.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain / Operations, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Science or any other similar discipline.
- 2- 4 years’ work experience in the Logistics & Supply Chain domain.
- Strong quantitative, research and data analytics skills contributing towards problem solving.
- Knowledge of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and Publisher.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Persuasive personality and ability to connect with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-orientated and enjoy being an expert on the logistics sector.
Nice to have
- Relevant customer-facing experience in supply chain consulting.
- Experience working with supply chain analysis software such as Coupa/Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru, AIMMS, Kinaxis, etc.
- Knowledge of R/Python/Tableau/Poer BI.
