Overview
Develop and govern data-driven planning strategies for spare and repair parts across a global manufacturing network. Balance parts availability and service levels with inventory investment and working-capital objectives.
What you'll do
- Own and improve end-to-end planning strategies, policies, parameters, and governance.
- Develop inventory and repair-loop recommendations using demand, variability, criticality, lead-time, and cost data.
- Monitor shortages, excess inventory, repair backlogs, and supply continuity risks.
- Lead root-cause analysis, mitigation planning, and cross-functional escalation.
- Build analytical models, dashboards, and scenario simulations for planning decisions.
- Standardize planning processes and document business rules across sites.
- Lead improvement projects and communicate recommendations, risks, and benefits.
What you'll need
- At least 7 years of experience in supply chain planning, inventory optimization, spare-parts planning, repair operations, materials management, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a top-tier institute in India.
- Experience applying quantitative analysis to inventory, service-level, lead-time, demand-variability, or working-capital decisions.
- Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management, structured problem-solving, and change-management skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional problem solving and communicate complex supply chain topics clearly.
Nice to have
- MBA from a top-tier Indian business school.
- Top-tier management consulting experience.
- Experience in semiconductor, high-tech, spare-parts, maintenance, repair, operations, or asset-intensive environments.
- Knowledge of service-parts planning, repair-loop optimization, and multi-echelon inventory concepts.
- Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP platforms, Power BI, SQL, or Python.
