Job description

Overview

The Supply Planning SME serves as the business unit's dedicated testing and adoption resource for the o9 Supply Planning module, executing test scripts, validating data integrity, supporting training delivery, and ensuring a smooth transition from testing to go-live.

What you'll do

  • Lead the Plan Quality Validation phase for multiple business units across the region.
  • Gather manufacturing constraints from business stakeholders and model them in o9.
  • Work with the system integration partner to execute the solver, perform RCA, analyse KPIs, check against business requirements, and flag issues.
  • Solve solver-related problems with a sustainable, standardized solution representing AMEA.
  • Document functional requirements and participate in fit-gap analyses with the regional functional stream lead.
  • Execute Integration Test (iTest) and UAT test scripts end-to-end for Supply Planning processes, ensuring 100% script coverage per the test strategy.
  • Validate pre-load and post-load data accuracy during User Cutover Testing (UCUT), flagging discrepancies and coordinating resolution with the data and cutover teams.
  • Perform security role validation, testing user access, roles, and permissions ahead of each testing phase.
  • Log, track, and follow up on defects in qTest/Jira within SLA and support retesting of failed test cases.
  • Execute end-to-end scenario testing, including cross-stream scenarios with Data Science, Supply Planning, and IBP.
  • Support pre-test preparation, including batch job readiness, test script prerequisites documentation, and environment checks.
  • Participate in daily testing war rooms, morning kick-offs, and end-of-day recaps to report progress, blockers, and pass rates.
  • Support delivery of Pre-UAT and UAT training for BU end users, including o9 basics, Day-in-the-Life (DILO) walkthroughs, and advanced SP system training.
  • Conduct shadow testing sessions walking end users through test scripts and o9 navigation.
  • Act as the go-to resource for end users during testing phases, providing real-time guidance on o9 processes and ways of working.
  • Support the BU Champion in change management, user communications, and adoption governance.
  • Contribute to training material review and localization for BU-specific contexts.
  • Assist end users in Parallel Run execution, running DILO/MILO cycles with real business cases.
  • Participate in BU Readiness Checkpoints and contribute to UAT sign-off documentation.
  • Provide hypercare support post go-live as the first point of contact for end-user queries and issues.
  • Document lessons learned, process gaps, and improvement opportunities to feed into sustainment planning.
  • Support institutionalization of new ways of working and standard operating procedures in the o9 platform.
  • Develop working-level expertise in the o9 Supply Planning module, including Master Production Scheduling, Distribution Planning, and Truck Load Build.
  • Support the BU Champion in fit-gap analysis, functional requirement documentation, and process design validation.
  • Participate in co-location events, workshops, and cross-functional design sessions as required.
  • Represent BU-specific scenarios and edge cases during testing to ensure comprehensive coverage.

What you'll need

  • Solid understanding of Supply Planning processes (Master Production Scheduling, Distribution Planning, Truck Load Build).
  • 3–8 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning or a related operational role.
  • Familiarity with planning tools/systems; exposure to advanced planning solutions (o9, Kinaxis, OMP, SAP IBP) is a necessity.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to execute test scripts methodically and identify data discrepancies.
  • Comfortable working with testing tools (qTest, Jira) and documenting test results and defects.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to train and support peers in a clear, structured manner.
  • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work in cross-functional, multi-market teams under tight timelines.
  • Growth mindset, quick learner, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced transformation environment.
