System Engineering Manager, SLED (West)

Overview

Lead and develop a team of pre-sales Systems Engineers supporting SLED customers and enterprise accounts. Drive technical sales strategy and customer outcomes across storage, networking, cloud, and AI-driven data solutions.

What you'll do

• Develop and coach Systems Engineers in a rapidly evolving technical environment.
• Drive operational excellence and support technical demand creation and validation.
• Understand customer business drivers and decision-making processes.
• Shape sales strategy and take ownership of technical responsibilities.
• Guide technical leadership across storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive offerings.
• Enable teams to translate customer requirements into innovative solutions and author RFI and RFP responses.
• Promote interoperability testing, roadmap exchanges, and technical thought leadership.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of management experience leading high-performing Sales Engineers selling to enterprise accounts.
• 10+ years supporting sales of storage, networking, or systems solutions to large accounts and data centers.
• Expertise in multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing architectures.
• Knowledge of storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architecture, on-premises and public cloud environments, provisioning automation, and containers.
• Knowledge of VMware, LAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.
• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or another technical degree, or equivalent experience.

• Remote role covering California, Oregon, and Washington.
• Annual base salary: $156,100–$257,600 USD.
