Overview
The Systems Architect provides technical expertise for customer presentations, product demonstrations, installations, product specifications, customer applications and solutions. The role defines solution architecture, supports pre-sales and product activities, and works with engineering and QA teams to release products and features.
What you'll do
- Provide technical expertise through customer presentations, product demonstrations and installation of company products and solutions.
- Assist sales staff in assessing potential applications of company products to meet customer needs.
- Prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications and solutions.
- Build POCs based on customer requirements to demonstrate application or solution feasibility, often requiring rapid prototyping and product demonstrations for clients.
- Provide software development and consultation to customers and product capability assessment and validation.
- Ensure product applications and solutions function according to specifications.
- Provide follow-up support to Sales, Ops and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications and solutions.
- Define the overall architecture, external interfaces and detailed functional description of the solution.
- Perform technical evaluations of major system enhancements and major new customer requirements.
- Create detailed system-level functional requirements and specifications.
- Monitor standards body activities and participate, if necessary, to influence the industry with the company's innovative vision.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and market disruption.
- Provide active support for product management, pre-sales and marketing activities, including technical solutions support in RFI/RFP responses.
- Provide system-level technical support in customer meetings.
- Work closely with engineering and QA teams to drive the timely and quality release of new products and features.
What you'll need
- 10 -15 years working experience in 4G Core.
- Good knowledge of 4G Network Functions like MME/PCRF(PCF).
- Working knowledge of MME/PCRF(PCF).
- Sound understanding of essential elements of Systems engineering, including how to convey requirements to development and QA teams.
- In-depth knowledge of mobile networks, especially LTE standards in the core network and the interface between the radio network and core network.
- Familiarity with NFV standards and ecosystem.
- Excellent inter-personal and leadership skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills for a variety of audiences including executives, partners and customers.
- Ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new technologies and concepts.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of other 4G Network Functions is an added advantage.
- Additional knowledge on the RAN standards is a plus.
