Systems Engineer - Data path - HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000 (Object Storage product development)

Overview

Develop data-path and system software for HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000 object storage products. The role includes end-to-end module ownership, architecture, performance, and product-quality responsibilities.

What you'll do

• Develop software across multiple platforms and organizations.
• Own modules end to end.
• Evaluate technologies and plan architecture integration.
• Architect solutions to address anticipated bottlenecks.
• Review designs and project activities against development standards.
• Drive engineering best practices and operational excellence.
• Influence design decisions using domain expertise and business acumen.

What you'll need

• Bring 6+ years of product development experience in storage or systems engineering.
• Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, or an equivalent field.
• Demonstrate modern storage product development experience and V1 product delivery.
• Use C/C++ for large enterprise-class software and have a strong systems programming background.
• Apply data structures, algorithms, multithreaded programming, and operating-system internals.
• Debug issues in multithreaded and clustered environments.
• Communicate product architectures and design proposals effectively.

Nice to have

• Have experience with distributed systems, clustering, high availability, virtualization, replication, QoS, or storage protocols.
• Bring experience with data-path modules, performance tuning, large objects, or multipart upload design.
• Have patents or deployed software-design solutions.

Details

• Work in a hybrid arrangement averaging 2 days per week from an HPE office.
• Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
