Tax Associate 2, Financial Services - Private Equity Fund

Overview

Prepare and review tax returns and support tax research, compliance, and client service for Private Equity, Hedge Fund, and/or FoF partnerships.

What you'll do

• Prepare complex Private Equity, Hedge Fund and/or FoF partnership tax returns.
• Perform detailed review and analysis of tax returns.
• Perform, document, and summarize research and conclusions regarding specific tax issues.
• Develop, motivate, and train staff level and intern team members.
• Interact directly with clients, handling questions, planning, and concerns.
• Remain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting or related field.
• 1+ years of experience in business taxation working for a Big 4 or a large national, regional or local accounting firm; or equivalent in industry or with a law firm.
• Must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam, CA, EA.
• Experience preparing and reviewing returns.
• Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance.
• Ability to work closely with clients to answer questions or to collect necessary information for tax service requirements.

Nice to have

• Masters of Accounting, Masters of Taxation or MBA preferred.
• Active CPA, EA, CA.
• Strong technical skills in accounting, tax preparation and review within the Asset Management industry.
