Overview
As a Tax Services Associate-International Tax, you will work on international tax engagements for a diverse multinational client base, including U.S. companies doing business outside the U.S. and foreign companies operating in the U.S.
What you'll do
- Assist with the preparation of the international component of U.S. tax returns.
- Optimize foreign tax credit positions.
- Analyze U.S. and foreign implications of potential international repatriation and expansion strategies.
- Consult on tax-efficient ownership structures.
- Prepare consulting memorandums using research and writing skills.
- Prepare international tax calculations including Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, foreign tax credit calculations and international reporting and compliance.
- Continuously engage in learning new skills and acquiring knowledge in U.S. international tax and relevant technologies.
- Provide support to Seniors and guidance to junior members.
- Supervise newer staff.
- Prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments.
- Work independently and in a team environment with professionals of all levels.

What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Minimum 1.5 years of experience in U.S. international taxation.
- Minimum 1.5 years of preparation of international tax calculations including Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, foreign tax credit calculations and international reporting and compliance.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, robust analytical skills, innovative thinking and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to supervise newer staff.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments.
- Flexibility to work both independently and in a team environment with professionals of all levels.

Nice to have
- Master’s degree, CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
- Prior experience with Big 4 or a large national, regional or U.S.-based accounting firm and/or in-house corporate tax experience.
- Technical proficiency with strong accounting, analytical and research skills.
- Self-starter with ability to prioritize tasks and independently define, implement, and manage new processes.
- Technology skills including MS-Office and Alteryx.
