Team Lead, Software Engineering

Overview

Team Lead, Software Engineering at OneTrust, providing day-to-day technical guidance and coaching while staying hands-on with critical engineering work.

What you'll do

• Provide day-to-day coaching and technical guidance to a small group of engineers.
• Support the team’s manager with performance check-ins and development conversations.
• Help the team break down, plan, and deliver on sprint commitments.
• Contribute code and design work on critical initiatives alongside your team.
• Partner with Product and UX to clarify requirements and surface technical considerations early.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience informally guiding or mentoring other engineers.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong technical foundation in frontend and/or backend development relevant to the platform.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Devin, Windsurf or similar) in your own work.
• Experience helping supported engineers start using AI-assisted development tools effectively.
