Tech Lead Manager, Agent Runtime Platform

Overview

Engineering Manager for the Agent Runtime Platform that provisions and runs compute and runtimes behind Anthropic’s internal agents.

What you'll do

• Own the technical strategy and roadmap by translating goals into execution.
• Manage day-to-day team execution and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
• Stay hands-on by building and shipping the runtime platform and tooling.
• Define secure agent execution at scale by partnering on sandboxing, isolation, and credential management.
• Build composable, reusable primitives across agents and manage infrastructure reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate cross-team to support internal teams bringing up their agents.

What you'll need

• 10+ years building and operating large-scale platforms or distributed systems.
• 1+ years of management experience in a technical environment.
• Experience with container or VM orchestration at scale.
• Interest in safe deployment of advanced AI systems and agents.
• Excellent communication skills and enjoyment supporting internal partners.
• Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
• Required field of study: a field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.

Details

• Location-based hybrid policy: expected to be in an office at least 25% of the time.
• Annual compensation: $405,000–$485,000 USD.
• Visa sponsorship: sponsored visas may be available.
