Technical Business Analyst, Product & Pricing Operations

Overview

Technical Business Analyst on the Quoting Rules team within Product & Pricing Operations, translating business requirements into technical solutions for Salesforce's internal CPQ systems.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and manage the configuration of internal CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) systems.
• Own end-to-end governance of quoting rules, including impact analysis, UAT support, defect resolution, and continuous optimization of rule frameworks and production support.
• Identify the upstream and downstream impact of business rules across related systems.
• Translate complex technical requirements into clear, easy-to-understand language for functional and business stakeholders.
• Design and develop automation frameworks to reduce manual effort and increase team efficiency.
• Support the operation and maintenance of existing and future CPQ infrastructure, including rule configuration, release management, environment management, data transformation, and migration.
• Lead troubleshooting and bug fixing for published rules configurations and case management.
• Enable faster NPI and product launches by building reusable quoting rule patterns and automation frameworks that reduce manual intervention and errors.
• Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in the product lifecycle.
• Influence partners, facilitate and steer group conversations, and set clear expectations and timelines.
• Identify and automate manual tasks using scripting solutions.

What you'll need

• Proficiency in Q2C processes.
• Strong understanding of New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, with proven experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Should have completed at least two end-to-end implementations of a CPQ project.
• Proficient in Salesforce administration, SOQL, and Salesforce CPQ / Apttus CPQ / Approvals experience.
• Excellent communication, written, and customer service skills.
• Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision, prioritizing accuracy of deliverables.
• Ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple requests at once.
• B.E. or B.Tech in Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of technical and administrative experience in Salesforce projects.
• 2+ years of experience in the configuration of CPQ systems.

Nice to have

• Proven track record of leveraging generative AI tools (e.g., Claude) to drive measurable productivity gains, process improvements, and analytical outcomes within a team.
• Experience in Python, Salesforce Agentforce, AI, or other automation scripting tools.
• Keen eye for identifying and automating manual tasks using scripting solutions.

• Location: Hyderabad, India only; office-based position out of the Hyderabad office.
• Flexible to support EMEA hours.
