Technical Product Manager

Overview

Own a technical product vertical for BJAK’s Southeast Asia neobank superapp, from strategy and outcomes through technical design and delivery. The role covers regulated, high-consequence products where money movement, compliance, reliability and AI governance are central.

What you'll do

• Own a product vertical, including outcomes, metrics, prioritised backlog and acceptance criteria.
• Shape system design with engineering across money movement, integrations, failure handling, security and scalability.
• Make and defend trade-offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability and user experience.
• Incorporate licensing, KYC, screening, monitoring, privacy and data-residency constraints into product decisions.
• Define appropriate AI use, evaluation, human oversight and uncertainty handling.
• Ship features behind flags and clear partner and regulatory launch gates.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury and Finance/Reconciliation.

What you'll need

• Significant experience owning a complex technical product end to end.
• Strong judgement under ambiguity and ability to work with senior engineers.
• Solid system-design knowledge, including APIs, workflows, failure modes and concurrency.
• Experience in a regulated or high-consequence domain, or demonstrable fast-ramp ability.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based products and evaluable AI features.
• Strong English communication skills.

• Engineering or highly technical product-management background.
• Zero-to-one product experience.
• Experience shipping AI-heavy consumer products.
• Experience defining ML or LLM evaluation metrics.
• Southeast Asia market experience.
