Technical Support Engineer - BIM

Overview

Technical Support Engineer focused on BIM and 3D modeling for electrical components and assemblies. The role converts specifications and 2D drawings into 3D models and develops BIM automation solutions using tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and C#.

What you'll do

• Debug and enhance Bid Manager takeoffs for electrical assemblies.
• Interpret product specifications for accurate BIM modeling.
• Manage Bid Manager content from requirements through testing and deployment.
• Improve software capabilities and BIM integration with the development team.
• Develop scripts integrating Bid Manager takeoffs with Design Automation tools.
• Create product-specific BIM specifications and compliant scripts.
• Report request volumes, progress, and backlog through monthly scorecards.

What you'll need

• Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 4–5 years of experience in the switchgear industry.
• Understanding of electrical components and assemblies.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling, AutoCAD, BIM, and Revit.
• Ability to interpret specifications, drawings, and schematics.
• Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with good communication skills.
