Technical Systems Engineer

Overview

Technical Systems Engineer for Cisco Commerce Product Management & Engineering (part of Cisco IT), focused on keeping a mission-critical commerce platform secure, compliant, and resilient.

What you'll do

• Own security vulnerability remediation, infrastructure compliance, resiliency, and SOX compliance for the commerce platform.
• Serve as the main point of contact for Risk & Compliance adherence.
• Triage and prioritize vulnerability/remediation issues using urgency and impact.
• Perform root cause analysis for complex problems.
• Ensure infrastructure compliance with enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Drive disaster recovery (DR) planning and testing.
• Ensure timely issue resolution while maintaining a risk-free security posture and meeting IT SOX control requirements.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 6–7 years of relevant professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience in vulnerability assessment and remediation planning.
• Experience in risk prioritization using tools including SAST/DAST, Qualis, SCA, Tenable, WizIO, and secrets scanning.
• Infrastructure administration and cloud security experience across Linux/Windows, VMware, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Knowledge of networking, IAM, DNS, and load balancers.
• Regulatory and audit knowledge including SOX ITGC, SOC 2, ISO, and GDPR.
