Technology Support Engineer

Overview

Technology Support Engineer to resolve incidents and problems, maintain operational stability, and manage change requests for business system components.

What you'll do

• Resolve incidents and problems affecting business system components.
• Create and implement Requests for Change (RFC) and update a knowledge base.
• Collaborate with vendors and service management teams for issue analysis and resolution.
• Monitor database performance and optimize queries.
• Handle escalations and assess impact/risk for low to medium risk changes on production databases.
• Implement security features and support DR implementation and switch over.

What you'll need

• Minimum 3 years of experience in PostgreSQL (also stated as “should have minimum 3 years of experience in PostgreSQL”).
• Working/production support experience in a production environment.
• Skills to install and configure PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL 9.x, 10.x, and 11.x.
• Server tuning and troubleshooting for database issues.
• Linux shell scripting for automation of database tasks.
