Test Engineer

Overview

Test Engineer responsible for designing and executing manual and automated testing strategies for software functionality, performance, and user experience. The role involves defect analysis, test automation, and collaboration with development and cross-functional teams.

What you'll do

• Design and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies.
• Create and execute manual and automated test cases.
• Test UI, APIs, and microservices.
• Perform root cause analysis and support defect resolution.
• Collaborate on requirements, design discussions, and acceptance criteria.
• Participate in code reviews and promote code quality.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.

What you'll need

• Experience in manual and automation testing.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Hands-on API and microservices testing experience.
• Automation experience with BDD and Cucumber.
• Experience with Selenium, Java, and WebDriver.
• Experience with Karate, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Prior Barclays, Cards, or Payments domain experience.
