Transfer Agency, Associate 2

Overview

Support the daily operations and client services of a transfer agency, processing investor transactions and maintaining shareholder records.

What you'll do

• Accurately process subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, and switches for investors, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Respond promptly and professionally to client, investor, and intermediary queries via email, phone, or written correspondence.
• Create or amend shareholder database records in the TA system, maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.
• Prepare and deliver periodic and ad hoc reports to clients and internal stakeholders, supporting fund accounting and compliance teams.
• Assist with client due diligence, document verification, and transaction monitoring in line with AML regulations and company policies.
• Participate in quality control checks and audits to ensure accuracy and compliance of processed transactions.
• Contribute ideas for operational efficiency, support system enhancements, and participate in team projects as required.
• Mentor junior team members and participate in ongoing training on regulatory changes and industry best practices.

What you'll need

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Demonstrated ability to manage high volumes of work with accuracy and efficiency.
• Proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Previous experience in transfer agency, fund administration, or financial services, ideally 1-3 years.
• Experience using fund administration or transfer agency systems.
• Mutual Fund and Capital Market knowledge.

• Location: Mumbai, India; Chennai preferred.
