Undergrad Intern – Data Engineer – Amgen’s Technology & Medical Organizations (Summer 2027)

Overview

Undergrad intern role for a Data Engineer (Summer 2027) focused on building data pipelines for an Enterprise Data Lake.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with product owners/architects and functional teams to understand data requirements.
• Design and develop end-to-end data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data.
• Build data infrastructure and analytics tools using Python, SQL, and AWS.
• Collaborate with lead architects, business SMEs, and data scientists on pipeline and infrastructure support.
• Identify and implement opportunities to automate tasks and develop reusable frameworks.
• Participate in designing, building, and developing Proof-of-Concept (POC) solutions and services.

What you'll need

• Expected to complete one year of study from an accredited college or university before the internship starts.
• Must remain enrolled in an accredited college or university during the internship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s degree program and have a 3.0 minimum GPA (or equivalent).
• Must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship.
• Must be available to work a full-time schedule.
• Must be proficient in at least one coding language: Python, Java, Scala, or SQL.

Details

• Location: United States (Remote).
• Pay: $28.87 per hour (U.S. base pay range shown as an hourly rate).
