Grad Intern – Data Engineer – Amgen’s Technology & Medical Organizations (Summer 2027)

Overview

Graduate intern (Summer 2027) for a Data Engineer role within Amgen’s Technology & Medical Organizations.

What you'll do

• Work with product owner/Product Architect and functional teams to understand data requirements and implement data engineering solutions.
• Design and develop end-to-end data pipelines and support infrastructure with lead Architects, Business SMEs and Data Scientists.
• Build data infrastructure and analytics tools using Python, SQL, and AWS.
• Collaborate to automate tasks and develop reusable frameworks.
• Participate in efforts to design, build, and develop rapid Proof-of-Concept (POC) solutions and services.
• Design and develop data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into an Enterprise Data Lake.

What you'll need

• Ability to work a full-time schedule during the internship.
• Expected continued enrollment in an accredited college or university following the internship program/co-op.
• Must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship.
• Must have completed the first year of an MBA/Master’s/PharmD/PhD program before the internship starts and be 18 years or older.
• Graduated with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Be able to accept and commit to future full-time employment by July 2028 (if offered).

• Work mode: Remote (United States).
• Pay: $35.34–$41.20 per hour (U.S. base pay range).
